Hamilton Hill Medical Centre is a Mixed Billing Practice with Private billing on weekends.

 

Payment is required at the time of your consultation.

 

Please note, on weekdays, the following services are still bulk billed:

 

  • Children under 16 years of age
  • Patients with a current Health Care Card
  • Pension Card Holder
  • DVA Gold Card Holder

Appointments

When you book an appointment with us, you will receive an SMS from  HealthEngine  to secure your appointment. Please follow the instructions in the message to confirm your booking and avoid having your appointment cancelled.

 

  • Booking an Appointment :  Appointments can be made by  telephoning the practice, booking online, or  visiting the practice in person.
  • Urgent Cases :  Urgent cases will be given  priority  and seen on the  same day  where possible.
  • Longer consultations  are available. Please advise reception if you require extra time when booking your appointment. If you need:
    • An insurance medical
    • Review of a complex health problem
    • Counseling for emotional difficulties
    • A second opinion about another doctor’s management
  • Pre-Consultation for Paperwork : A  pre-consultation  is required before completing any paperwork. Please ensure you bring all  relevant letters  and  test results  from other healthcare providers.
Arrival Time :  Please arrive  5–10  minutes before your scheduled appointment  to ensure a smooth check-in process.

Did Not Attend (DNA) & Cancellation Policy

Please notify reception  at least 2 hours in advance  if you cannot attend your appointment. Cancellations made  with less than 2 hours’ notice  will incur a cancellation fee:

 

  • $50.00 for single appointments
  • $100.00 for double appointments

Please note: Cancellation fees may vary depending on the  appointment type  and/or  practitioner booked.

If you or a family member requires an  interpreter service, please let us know when booking your appointment, and we will arrange this for you.

  • Test results are  not provided over the phone  unless specifically arranged with your doctor.
  • Results will only be discussed during a  follow-up appointment  with your doctor.
  • If your results require  urgent attention, you will be contacted directly by our team.

Booking a Follow-Up Appointment:

  • It is your  responsibility  to book a follow-up appointment to discuss your results.
  • Reception staff  cannot interpret or provide test results  over the phone.

Normal vs Abnormal Results:

  • If your results are  normal  and no further action is required, you may not be contacted.
  • If your results require  further discussion or action, we will contact you to arrange an appointment.

Privacy and Confidentiality:

  • All results are handled in strict  compliance with privacy laws.
